Round pacifiers vs Orthodontic pacifiers

Pacifiers, as much as sucking his thumb, is a baby’s way to soothe himself. They are made soft yet durable materials and available in many cute designs. Although the fight between pacifiers vs thumb between parents and pediatricians will not be resolve anytime soon. One thing for sure is that pacifiers and thumb sucking is highly recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics especially in putting the baby to sleep and it prevents SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome).

Each baby is different and in order to get your baby’s perfect fit for their mouth you got to try a few different pacifiers.  Be careful to get the correct age appropriate as they come in different sizes, ranging from birth and up to 12 months and up. There are two kinds of pacifiers Round and orthodontic to choose from.

Round pacifiers vs Orthodontic pacifiers
Round pacifiers have a long rounded tip it has been shown round pacifiers will stay in your baby’s mouth very easily, and rarely fall out while they’re sleeping. Orthodontic pacifiers have a flat tip design to accommodate your baby’s palate and gums; they are design to simulate the shape and flexibility of the mom’s nipple. The baby sucks on the wide flat part resting on the tongue for a more natural sucking movement. Making these the most common pacifiers use by pediatricians and parents.

Studies indicate that babies using orthodontic pacifiers have a smaller chance of developing an overbite than those babies who use conventional round pacifiers. However neither type seems to cause problems unless sucked on intensely for years. It is more important to choose the shape your baby enjoys and finds comfortable.

Here at Aiko Gifts we chosen to carry the Natursutten pacifiers by zoeBorganic. They are the safe choice for your baby because:
